With my arms full of items because I forgot to grab a basket; I headed over to the refrigerators. As I reached for the 1% milk my mother insisted on me picking up for her so she could have it in her coffee, I tried to balance my other groceries. Finding a balance, I picked up the milk and stacked it on top of the other items. I then proceeded to the check out line when all of a sudden I felt a little off balance. Sure enough, I ended up dropping the milk and the carton bursted open. Milk went in all directions, most of it ended up on the floor and only a little splattered on me. It surprised me how fast people came running in my direction to see what had happened.
